BuddhabellyYoga teaches Iyengar & Restorative Yoga

Iyengar (Hatha) Yoga
B.K.S. Iyengar of Pune, India created Iyengar Yoga which is a method of Hatha Yoga.
Practicing Iyengar Yoga allows you to build strength, stamina and flexibility while connecting to a sense of peace and well-being.

Benefits of Iyengar (Hatha) Yoga
In Hatha Yoga, you will gain flexibility in your mind and body. Like many forms of exercise you will also increase your physical strength and in time you will notice an influx of emotional strength that will help you handle the challenges of life with a balanced disposition.

Restorative Yoga

Benefits of Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is an essential part of our lives as we cope with modern life in a busy culture and stressed environment. Our immune systems become compromised and our chronic stress does not allow the natural ongoing healing to take place as it should. Deep, conscious rest and deep breathing counteract the effects of stress on the immune system and promote the relaxation response. • Restore by the use of props in supported yoga poses • Gently move the spine in all directions • Balance the fluid system, rest the heart and enhance the heart function • Soothe and stimulate the organs • Receive enhanced exchange of oxygen and waste products across the cell membrane • Experience a balance of energy in your body .

It is appropriate for all ages, levels of fitness and physical abilities.
Ideally should be practiced once a week but benefits will be seen with a regular routine a little as once a month.
