Meet Rhonda,
I guide students with compassion with fine detailed instruction to support their Yoga practice. The focus is on proper alignment in poses and breath awareness. There is always a modification for a pose; to have the pose adjusted for the students physical ability, then they will be able to connect with the pose from the inside out.I would like the teaching of Yoga to be healing to others because it was and still is for me. I learn everyday from my students and this is one of the many benefits of teaching for me. I continue to study under teachers and believe in the importance of passing this knowledge forth to students.Take the first step on your journey of self discovery today. Restorative Yoga Background: I decided to meet the guru of Restorative Yoga, Judith Lasater, I loved the way she spoke; I understood her words and connected her teachings to myself and for my future students. The journey of Restorative Yoga began, I went to San Francisco (Iyengar Institute of San Francisco) and took Judith’s Relax and Renew certified course and was hooked even more to her knowledge and compassion for the human race. While in San Francisco, Judith asked me to be one of her assistants. When I assist Judith, I learn more about Yoga and myself. I continue to be inspired by Judith, and her awareness of how to connect life and YOGA.
Randi earned her certification training at Esther Myers Yoga Studio in Toronto – one of the most renowned and extensive Yoga Teacher Training courses in Canada. Specializing in Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on the concepts of breathing, gravity and spinal elongation, Randi strives to impart a practice that is beneficial for both body and peace of mind. “I have trained in many different styles of Yoga including: Hatha, Therapeutic Yoga, Yin Yoga, Anusara, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Kundalini. These styles are incorporated into my classes.” Randi has attended yoga classes and workshops since 2001, establishing a daily personal practice where she continues to discover, learn, and keep an open mind. “I remain a student and will continue to study for as long as I practice yoga.” Randi’s background in Psychology allows her greater insight into the beneficial healing and stress- relieving aspects of this ancient practice. She inspires all those she teaches, with her genuine enthusiasm and energetic nature. Randi enjoys teaching both active and more laid-back style classes, utilizing a variety of yoga modalities. “I have enjoyed teaching with Rhonda and her students over the past year and am looking forward to teaching at the new Studio.” “Yoga becomes a tool we use in our daily lives. Every class presents a new idea about how to live our lives fully and with an open heart.”
